Tonight is the opening night of The Two Gentlemen of Verona (Shakespeare) put on by PAANDA (Performing Arts Association of Notre Dame Australia). I’ve written some short musical cues for the production, mostly entrance/exit music and a dance number at the end. Here are some pics from the dress rehearsal last night:
Apparently, the story goes that Shakespeare didn’t want the audience to leave the theatre on a glum note – so he got all the characters in the play to go on stage for a final dance number to cheer everybody up, regardless of whether the characters were good/evil etc. That said, The Two Gentlemen of Verona is a comedy. Here is the final dance number – to book tickets, click here!
