10 Jan Choral Recording
A few nights ago I was privileged to have a fantastic choir perform some new choral works that I have written. The St Georges Cathedral Consort conducted by Joseph Nolan made a such wonderful sound. I have set music to the poetry of Thomas Hood (I Love Thee) which was written as a gift for my sisters wedding, and William Wordsworth (I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud) which I did as an assignment during my masters degree many years ago! I gave it a substantial re-working it has to be said 🙂
Both pieces were recorded and filmed by the same crew who produced my previous videos – with a bit of luck we’ll have the audio in February and the video footage will be uploaded to YouTube a few months later (of course I’ll post both here!). A special thanks to all the singers who really brought the poetry and music to life. The consort have several recordings available, well worth a listen.
